In June 2014, Children’s Home Society of Washington (CHSW) and the Children’s Trust Foundation established the Children’s Home Society & Trust Foundation. The foundation strengthens service providers through funding, partnership and other support services – thereby improving the level of care for families statewide.
Children’s Home Society & Trust Foundation provides many funding opportunities to support CHSW’s services and programs, including: individual, corporate and foundation contributions; event sponsorships; bequests; tribute gifts; in-kind gifts; stock donations; employee matching; and other sources.
The foundation also continues the 30-year-old vision of Children’s Trust Foundation by providing grants through the Endowment to Prevent Child Abuse and Neglect to other organizations with programs at community-based family support centers dedicated to child abuse prevention.
Established in 1982 by dedicated child advocates, Children’s Trust Foundation held a firm conviction that child abuse and neglect can be prevented by supporting families struggling through stress and isolation.
Children’s Trust Foundation distributed more than $1.4 million to programs focused on child abuse prevention. Many of these grants were funded through its Endowment to Prevent Child Abuse and Neglect.
